Article presented the conception that for the quantitative characteristic of ecological diversity of vegetation the relation of distinction/similarity between species can be estimated by means ecomorphic features of plants or their phytoindicator properties. It is shown, that the network organization of ecological mutual relations can be presented in the form of hierarchical dendrogram in order to apply Warwick-Clarke taxonomic diversity indexes to a quantitative estimation of an ecological diversity. The idea to expand Whittaker concept of α, β and γ-diversity on ecological (hierarchical, organizational) diversity was discussed that has allowed to introduce concepts of α, β, and γ-components of ecological diversity of plant community.
